Fornication And Adultery In The Last Days . . .

1. If the readers desire to have a part in the Lord's work as soul workers, it would be great for them to begin their own tract ministry by down loading our messages and send or give copies to others. What could be more important for you as an ambassador for Christ than to support the Body of Christ in this way? The messages are already written, so why not pass them on to others? { See I - Corinthians 5:17-21 }.

Fornication . . .

2. Commentary: "The word,

[ 1 ]: "Fornication" which is primarily referred to as a carnal affair between single men and women, and is mentioned 36 times,

[ 2 ]: "Fornication's" plural, 3 times,

[ 3 ]: "Fornicator " 3 times, and,

[ 4 ]: "Fornicators" plural, 3 times in our Bible, it all boils down to one word, "EVIL." The word:

[ 1 ]: "Adultery" is referred to by the majority of people as a carnal affair between married people and someone else other than the man or woman's spouse, and is mentioned 40 times,

[ 2 ]: "Adulterer" 3 times,

[ 3 ]: "Adulterers" plural, 9 times,

[ 4 ]: "Adulterous" 4 times,

[ 5 ]: "Adulteries" plural, 5 times,

[ 6 ]: "Adulteress" 5 times, and . . .

[ 7 ]: "Adulteresses" plural, 3 times in our Bible, and again, it all is interpreted to mean "Evil Sin!" The fact is both of these sins are really synonymous as far as the Biblical penalty is concerned. The penalty in Biblical terms is "Judgment in an everlasting Lake of Fire, PERIOD!" That is, unless the sinner has repented and confessed his sin to God with no intention of repeating it. { See Psalm 103:12 }.

3. 0ne true picture of a depraved lost sinner is a person who believes he is saved and yet sins willfully by his carnal lifestyle. Many men and women will act out the life of a Christian and yet live a carnal lifestyle with a woman or a man while being un-married. These people are living this way knowing in their heart what the Bible states about "ADULTERY and FORNICATION." Yet, they completely ignore the Scriptures that warn them of such things.

=========================

4. Scripture: "Now the works [ practices ] of the flesh are "manifest [ clear," it is obvious: it was immorality, impurity, and indecency ], which are these; 'ADULTERY,' 'FORNICATION,' uncleanness, lasciviousness, { Galatians 5:19 }." [ Manifest means = plain or open, with overtones of being unashamed and blatant. Lascivious here = refers to lewdness ].

=========================

5. { V. 9 } Scripture: "I write unto you in an epistle [ letter ] not to [ keep ] company with 'FORNICATORS.'

6. { V. 10 }: Yet not altogether with the 'FORNICATORS' of the world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must you needs to go out of the world.

7. { V. 11 }: But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a 'FORNICATOR,' or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

8. { V. 12 }: For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? Do not you judge them that are within?

9. { V. 13 }: But them that are without God judges. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person, { 1- Corinthians 5:9-13 }."

==============================

10. The above 5 verses all paraphrased below . . . { V. 9 }: "I Paul wrote you in my previous letter not to associate closely and habitually with unchaste 'impure' people;

11. { V. 10 }: Not meaning of course that you must altogether shun the immoral people of the world, or the greedy graspers and cheats, thieves, 'FORNICATORS ' or idle worshipers, since otherwise you would have to get out of the world and away from human society altogether!

12. { V. 11 }: But now I again write to you not to associate with any one who bears the name [ Christian ] brother, if he is known to be guilty of immorality or greed, or is an idle worshiper . . . that is, whose 'soul [ life' ] is devoted to any object that usurps the place of God . . . or [ 'is ] a person with a foul tongue' [ railing, abusing, reviling, slandering ], or is a drunkard, or a swindler or a robber. [ No ] you must not even so much as eat with such a person.

13. { V. 12 }: What [ business ] of mine is it and what right have I to judge outsiders? Is it not those inside the Christian Assembly upon whom you are to pass disciplinary judgment . . . passing and censuring sentence on them as the facts require? The fact remains that you are not to judge other Christians.

14. { V. 13 }: The Christ rejecters who are not Children of God are those who are the quickest to judge. The truth is, God alone is the One Who is the rightful Potentate, Who sits in judgment on those who are outside the fold. It is He Who drives out that wicked one from among you and expels him or her from your Congregation!" Paraphrased verses of . . . { 1- Corinthians 5:9-13 }."

==============================

15. Commentary of the above text which is a commanding regulation . . . { V. 9 }: "I wrote to you in an epistle." When Paul wrote to the Corinthians in a previous letter which has been lost therefore, and cannot be identified to us but we know that at least one subject discussed in that letter was that the people were not to associate with 'FORNICATORS.' The intent of the Apostle Paul in that letter was misunderstood, and so he finds it necessary to clarify himself in { Vs. 10-11 }.

16. { V. 10 }: Notice these words in this above verse: "Yet not all together." Of course Paul does not intend to say that the people are not to have association with vile and sinful people, otherwise how could Christians lead the lost unbelievers to Christ as His disciples? If we had nothing to do with lost people, Paul makes clear that we would have to get off of this world because the world is primarily populated with lost individuals. As long as Christians are on this earth, it will be necessary for them to rub shoulders with the unbelieving lost sinners. A parallel idea is contained in the words of our Lord in { John 17:15-18 }.

17. { V. 11 }: "Not to keep company." The key to Paul's thought is here. The term translated "to keep company" [ Greek 'synanameignymi' ] is found only here and in { 2- Thessalonians 3:14 }. It is a compound of three Greek terms, and means "to mingle together with." It has the idea of close, habitual intercourse. The Apostle words: "If any man that is called a brother," Paul's instruction relates to those who are in the assembly calling themselves brethren in Christ.

18. If such a person is a 'FORNICATOR,' or covetous, etc., then the person is not to be included in fellowship, and thus the following words "With such a one, no, do not eat," is used as instruction. { V. 12 }: The words in this verse "Them . . . that are without," this command of the Apostle had reference only to those who were in the assembly, but it was not his prerogative to judge those outside of the Congregation. The Corinthians should have understood this, and it is a good lesson for us today to understand this also! But, do we always comply?

19. { V. 13 }: The words "Them that are without God judges," the Greek present tense of this verb fits well with Paul's thought in { Romans 1:18 }, "For the wrath of God is being revealed [ presently: ] from Heaven against all ungodliness." There is a vitally important truth to be observed here. It is true, as the Apostle John said, . . .

=========================

20. Scripture: "And we 'know [ positively' ] that we are of God, and the 'whole world [ around us' ] lies in wickedness [ that is, 'is under the power of Satan ],' { 1- John 5:19 }."

=========================

21. Commentary . . . "But, it will not do to simply curse the darkness. It is the task of the Child of God to proclaim the positive truth of the Gospel. The Saints are obligated to be faithful stewards; as for the world, God will take care of it. Paul summarizes with these words: "Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person." As for that person, he is guilty of committing open sin, remove him or her from your fellowship except to witness to them in a Christ like manner at a later time!

=========================

22. Scripture: "But 'FORNICATION,' and all uncleanness [ all impurity of lustful, rich, and wasteful living ], or covetousness: [ greediness, but especially 'FORNICATION' ] let it not be once named among you, as becomes Saints [ That is, God's consecrated Children ], { Ephesians 5:3 }." See { Vs. 5-8: - Romans 1:29; - 1- Thessalonians 4:3; - Matthew 15:19; - & - 1- Corinthians 6:13 }.

=========================

23. Scripture: "Flee 'FORNICATION,' Every sin that a man does is without the body; but he that commits 'FORNICATION' sins against his own body, { 1- Corinthians 6:18 }."

24. Above { V. 18 } paraphrased . . . "Flee 'FORNICATION,' shun immorality and all sexual looseness,. . . flee from impurity in thought, word, or deed. Practically all other sins which people commit are sins outside the body, but folks who commit sexual immorality sin against their own bodies."

=========================

25. Commentary . . . Flee "FORNICATION" i.e., make it your habit to flee "FORNICATION." This was Joseph's reaction to the advances of Potiphar's wife. { Genesis 39:12 } literally illustrates this principle.

26. Naturally this verse does not actually mean that other sins cannot harm the body, such sins as evil thoughts, gluttony, and an uncaring attitude concerning one's own body are sins against one's self. The reader can likely think of many other sins within the body that can harm themselves such as tobacco smoke, alcohol or certain drugs.

=========================

27. Scripture: "Nevertheless, to avoid 'FORNICATION' [ and avoid temptation to impurity, immorality ], Let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband, { 1- Corinthians 7:2 }."

=========================

28. { V. 8 } Scripture: "Neither let us commit 'FORNICATION,' as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. [ think of this! 23 thousand suddenly fell dead in one single 24 hour day ] . . .

29. { V. 9 }: Neither let us tempt Christ [ the Lord to try His patience, and become a trial to Him, by critically appraising Him and exploiting His goodness ], as some of them also tempted [ Jehovah while in the wilderness of Sinai ], and were destroyed of [ poisonous ] serpents, { 1- Corinthians 10:8-9 }."

==============================

30. Commentary . . . see { Numbers 25:5,6, - & - 9. Read verses 1- through 18 }. 23,000 was the number killed in one day. But, the verse in Numbers indicates that there were additional deaths afterwards.

==============================

31. { V. 29 } Scripture: "Being filled with all unrighteousness [ such as ] . . .

[ 1 ]: "FORNICATION,"

[ 2 ]: wickedness,

[ 3 ]: maliciousness;

[ 4 ]: full of envy,

[ 5 ]: murder,

[ 6 ]: debate,

[ 7 ]: deceit,

[ 8 ]: malignity;

[ 9 ]: whisperers,

32. { V. 30 } . . .

[ 10 ]: Backbiters,

[ 11]: haters of God,

[ 12 ]: despiteful

[ 13 ]: proud,

[ 14 ]: boasters,

[ 15 ]: inventors of evil things,

[ 16 ]: disobedient to parents,

33. { V. 31 } . . .

[ 17 ]: Without understanding,

[ 18 ]: covenant breakers,

[ 19 ]: without natural affection,

[ 20 ]: implacable,

[ 21 ]: unmerciful:

34. { V. 32 }: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them, { Romans 1:29-32 }."

==============================

35. Commentary . . . "The reader should notice that "FORNICATION" is number one on the list and is equal with murder, and those who commit either of these sins in the eyes of God are worthy of death. These offenses are committed today all over this earth and people are not even ashamed of their evil deeds. Folks should realize that the word 'FORNICATION' is alluded to at least 36 times in the Bible and ignored by billions of people! Truly Jesus was right when He said: "As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the latter days!"

36. The words "being filled" in { V. 29 }, expresses [ by the Greek perfect tense ] that the heathen were not simply tainted by the catalogue of sins that follow but were in fact saturated with them. Thus, the ugly character traits listed as the result of sin is horrendous, but God naturally includes: unrighteousness, or injustice [Greek 'adika' ] 'FORNICATION,' wickedness [Gr. 'poneria' ], covetousness [ Gr. 'pleonexia,' grasping for more than is needed ], maliciousness [ Gr. 'kakia,' intending evil toward others ], . . . whisperers, { V. 30-31 }: Backbiters, haters of God, etc. This gallery of iniquity was not only true of the first-century heathen world but reads much like our newspapers today.

37. Commentary . . . "{ V. 32 } The words, "Who knowing the judgment of God . . . do the same, . . . have pleasure in them that do them," tell us that the heathen world is "NOT" unaware of God's displeasure with these activities. Therefore, fully realizing the consequences of their sin, they continue to defy the Lord God of Heaven and take great pleasure in keeping company with those who do the same. Paul's conclusion is that the heathen are never without a witness to the presence and personality of God. They have the witness of nature and the witness of their own conscience. However, the heathen have deliberately suppressed these witnesses to the truth and have consistently opted for a lie in place of the truth. They have chosen the course of 'ADULTERY,' which is always accompanied by debauchery. All none-christians according to this are heathenish in works, thoughts and deeds!

38. Thus, God has revealed His wrath from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of man who suppress the truth of God. In addition, God has given them up to idolatry, to passions of infamy, and to an un-discerning and un-approving mind. Are the heathen lost? Yes, the entire heathen world is lost, deserving condemnation, desiring evil and desperately wicked. And what about Christians who get caught up in this type of evil? Your going to have to figure that out for yourself! See { Hebrews 12:1-14 }. Scripture certainly tells the truth when it states "As in the days that were before the flood . . . so shall also the coming of the Son of man be, { Matthew 24:37 }."

=========================

39. Paul stated, Scripture: "And lest [ otherwise ], when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have 'not repented' of the 'uncleanness' and 'FORNICATION' and lasciviousness which they have committed, { 2- Corinthians 12:21 }."

40. The above verse paraphrased: "[ I am fearful ] that when I come again my God may humiliate and humble me in your regard, and that I may have to sorrow over many of those who sinned before and have not repented of the impurity, sexual vice and sensuality which they formerly practiced."

=========================

41. { V. 5 } Scripture: "Mortify [ put to death ]" therefore your members which are upon the earth; 'FORNICATION,' uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil 'concupiscence [ desire ],' and covetousness, which is idolatry, . . .

42. { V. 6 }: For which things' sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience, { Colossians 3:5-6 }."

=========================

43. The above two verses paraphrased . . . { V. 5 }: "So kill [ deaden, deprive of power the evil power ] the evil desire lurking in your members . . . those animal impulses and all that is earthly in you that is employed in sin: sexual vice, impurity, sensual appetites, unholy desires, and all greed and covetousness, for that is idolatry [ 'idle worship,' the deifying of self and other created things instead of God. ]

44. { V. 6 }: It is on account of these very sins that the holy anger of God is constantly coming upon those who are obstinately opposed to His Divine will, upon the sons and daughters of disobedience."

=========================

45. Scripture: "For this is the will of God even [ that you should be consecrated . . . separated and set apart for pure and holy living in ] your sanctification, that you should abstain [ and shrink ] from [ all ] 'FORNICATION' [ and other sexual vices ], { 1- Thessalonians 4:3 }."

=========================

46. Commentary: "The words "will of God" i.e., His desire or purpose, sanctification [ holiness in this instance ] is viewed in three aspects in the New Testament,

[ 1 ]: a position of being set apart to God, which every Saint has at the moment of his salvation { 1- Corinthians 6:11 };

[ 2 ]: a progressive godliness of life that ought to be true of every Christian { 1- Thessalonians 4:3 }; and . . .

[ 3 ]: our condition in Heaven, in which we shall be "unblameable in holiness" { 3:13 }, 'FORNICATION.' The Greek word means all kinds of illicit or unnatural sexual indulgence. The ancient Greek cities similar to Thessalonica were wide open to all kinds of sexual looseness, even in connection with religious rites.

=========================

47. Scripture: "Even as Sodom and Gomorra, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to 'FORNICATION,' and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire, [ in the future 'Lake of Fire' ] { Jude V. 7 }." In the book of Matthew the Bible states:

=========================

48. { V. 18 } "Scripture: "But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the 'heart [ mind' ]; and they defile the man.

49. { V. 19 }: For out of the 'heart [ mind, and - or intellect' ] proceed evil thoughts, murders, "ADULTERIES, FORNICATION'S," thefts, false witness, blasphemies, { Matthew 15:18-19 }."

=========================

50. Commentary . . . To top all these above verses off in the right way, read this following text that should frighten every person who will not listen, and who ignore God's Word! . . .

=========================

51. { V. 9 } Scripture: "Know you not that the unrighteous "Shall not" inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: Neither [ 1 ]: "FORNICATORS," [ 2 ]: nor idolaters, [ idol worshipers ], [ 3 ]: nor "ADULTERERS," [ 4 ]: nor effeminate [ homosexuals ], [ 5 ]: "nor abusers of themselves with mankind [ homosexuals and lesbians who are both in the same class ]."

52. { V. 10 }, [ 6 ]: Nor thieves, [ 7 ]: nor covetous, [ those who wish to acquire things others have ], [ 8 ]: nor drunkards, [ 9 ] : nor revilers, [ 10 ]: 'nor extortioners, shall inherit [ or have any share in' ] the kingdom of God, { 1- Corinthians 6:9-10 }."

=========================

53. Commentary . . . "Notice that both expressions of the words "effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind," refer to homosexuals, and is applied to those who allow themselves to be used unnaturally, and the second application refers to active homosexuals. Paul's warning was given against the background of incest, homosexuality, pederasty, and other unnatural sexual vices which were even prevalent among the Greeks and Romans during Paul's time. Paul did not want Christianity confused with sects that permitted such atrocities. Scripture states that Hell has enlarged itself, can you believe that statement? If you fail to believe it see { Isaiah 5:14 }.

Every Former Dispensation has been A Dispensation That Craved An Abundance

Of Sex . . .

54. Commentary: "But, in Noah's day, "They married and were given in marriage." Now of course there is nothing wrong or unusual in sex and marriage, therefore, Jesus certainly was not referring to the moral and legal aspects of marriage. When we turn to the record, however, we soon discover what Jesus was referring to. It was the perversion of the otherwise normal relationship. The days of Noah and Lot were days of 'sex abuse.' There is nothing sinful or immoral in sex but, when the Lord created man we read, "Male and female created He them."

55. The morality or immorality of sex is determined by its use or abuse. It was the abuse of sex to which Jesus evidently referred to in Noah and Lot's day. The great, great, great-grandson of Cain, in the last generation before the flood, was Lamech, who evidently perished in the flood. Concerning Lamech we read . . .

=========================

56. Scripture: "And Lamech took unto him two wives . . . , { Genesis 4:19 }, "

=========================

57. Commentary . . . "This is the first mention of polygamy in the Bible, and can be placed in the very generation when the flood came upon the world. Now remember once again the Lord's words "As it was in the days of Noah. . . ." We need to little more than mention the amazing parallel in these modern days. In our own present generation we have seen the sacred institution of the family deteriorate more than in all the centuries in history.

58. Today the sanctity of marriage is largely forgotten, and as a result delinquency has become our No. 1 problem, immorality is winked at, and the divorce rate has doubled, tripled and quadrupled in a generation. During the first 30 years of the last century the divorce rate was 'one in fifty,' today over fifty in every 100 marriages end in divorce. But it is even worse than that, many of those who marry have been married several times before, and some of these folks have been married as much as eight or more times. But not only this, it is said that 55 percent of couples are committing 'FORNICATION' by living in adulteress situations. The Bible states, and "listen to this very carefully . . .

=========================

59. Scripture: "But I say unto you, That whoever shall put away his wife [ or her husband ], saving [ except ] for the cause of 'FORNICATION,' causes her [ or him ] to commit 'ADULTERY:' and whoever shall marry her [ or him ] that is divorced commits 'ADULTERY,' { Matthew 5:32 }." [ You notice that "FORNICATION and ADULTERY" are classified as being synonymous ].

=========================

60. The above verse paraphrased: "But, I tell you, Whoever dismisses and repudiates and divorces his wife, except on the grounds of unfaithfulness [ sexual immorality ], causes her to commit ADULTERY; and whoever marries a woman who has been divorced commits ADULTERY." { Read Deuteronomy 24:1-4. }

=========================

61. { V. 28 }: Scripture, "And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient [ improper, 'wickedness' ];

62. { V. 29 }: Being filled with all unrighteousness, 'FORNICATION,' wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

63. { V. 30 }: Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

64. { V. 31 }: [ These folks are ] Without understanding, [ they are ] covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

65. { V. 32 }: [ These are people ] Who knowing the judgment of God, [ and certainly are aware unless they are very ignorant ] that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same [ things over and over ], but have pleasure in them [ i.e., other sinners ] that do them, { Romans 1:28-29, - & - 31-32 }." [ Not only did the people themselves sin but they encouraged and vicariously enjoyed the sins of others ]

=========================

66. The above five verses paraphrased . . . { V. 28 } Scripture: "And so, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God or approve of Him or consider Him worth the knowing, The Lord gave them over to a base and condemned mind to do things not proper or decent but loathsome;

67. { V. 29 }: Until they were filled . . . permeated and saturated . . . with every kind of unrighteousness, iniquity, grasping and covetous greed, [ and ] malice. [ They were ] full of envy and jealousy, murder, strife, deceit and treachery, ill will and cruel ways. [ They were ] secret backbiters and gossipers,

68. { V. 30 }: Slanderers, hateful to and hating God, full of insolence, arrogance [ and ] boasting; inventors of new forms of evil, disobedient and very disobedient to parents.

69. { V. 31 }: [ They were ] without understanding, conscienceless and faithless, heartless and loveless [ and ] merciless.

70. { V. 32 }: Though they are fully aware of God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do wicked things them themselves but approve and applaud others who practice them.

=========================

71. Commentary . . . Notice that 'FORNICATION' is classified just as evil as 'murder,' and not only do these kind of folks themselves sin willfully, but they, even though they may not even consider it as being wrong, encourage and vicariously enjoy the sins of others!

=========================

72. Scripture: "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; [ 1 ]: 'ADULTERY,' [ 2 ]: 'FORNICATION,' [ 3 ]: uncleanness and [ 4 ]: lasciviousness, { Galatians 5:19 }."

=========================

73. Commentary . . . "The word 'manifest' means plain, or open, with overtones of being unashamed and blatant. 'Lasciviousness' refers to 'lewdness,' people today have no shame, they don't mind at all even for kinfolk's to know their sins and often they brag about sinful lifestyles.

=========================

74. { V. 3 } Scripture: "But 'FORNICATION,' and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not once be named among you, as become Saints;

75. { V. 4 }: Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks, { Ephesians 5:3-4 }." [ From the King James Version ].

=========================

76. As to this writers paraphrase of the two above verses: { V. 3 } Scripture: "But " 'FORNICATION,' [ immorality, sexual vice, and all impurity of lustful, rich, wasteful living, that which concerns those that ignore God's commandment, that forbids un-biblical sexual excursions. And, all uncleanness or covetousness, this evil greediness, let this evil not once be named among you as something that is fitting and proper, as becomes Saints Whom are the Father's consecrated Children; ]

77. { V. 4 }: [ Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting " joking by using unclean speech, obscenity, indecency, nor foolish and sinful silly and corrupt talk," which are not convenient: that is, which is not fitting or becoming for God's elect. Much of those things when referred to are spoken and often veiled in innuendoes or double meaning. But, instead of all of the above, act the true part of Christian Believers, voice your thankfulness to God your Father for taking you into His family." ]

=========================

78. { V. 3 }: Scripture, "For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that you should [ be consecrated . . . separated and set apart for pure and holy living, that you should ] abstain from 'FORNICATION,' [ and any type of sexual vice ]!

79. { V. 4 }: That every one of you should know how to possess [ control, and manage ] his [ or her ] vessel [ sexual parts in passion, and purity, separated from things profane, in consecration ] in sanctification and honor, { 1- Thessalonians 4:3-4 }." =========================

80. Commentary . . . "In { V. 3 } 'the will of God,' I.e., His desire or purpose, and the word 'sanctification' mentioned here refers to holiness and is viewed in three aspects in the N.T. . . .

[ 1 ]; a position of being set apart to God, which every Saint has achieved at the moment of their conversion, { 1- Corinthians 6: 11 };

[ 2 ]: a progressive holiness of life that ought to be true of every Child of God, {1- Thessalonians 4:3}; and

[ 3 ]: our condition in Heaven, in which we shall be "un-blameable in holiness" { Ch. 3:13 }. The meaning of the word 'FORNICATION' in { V. 3 }: The Greek word means "all kinds of illicit or unnatural sexual indulgence. Greek cities like Thessalonica were wide open to all kinds of sexual looseness, even in connection with religious rites." And finely, pay very close attention to this next verse for it is talking to you! . . .

=========================

81. Scripture: "But whoever commits ADULTERY [ or 'FORNICATION' which is synonymous ]," with a woman [ or a man ] lacks understanding: he [ or she ] that does it destroys his [ their ] own soul, { Proverbs 6:32 }." Can God's Word be any plainer than this?

=========================

Salvation: Are You Ready For Heaven? . . .

82. Commentary . . . It is possible that your heart [ mind ] has been running from the Lord and rebels against Him. The Word of God calls this "sin." The Scriptures state that every one of us are sinners in the flesh, and everyone has in the past sinned . . .

=========================

83. Scripture: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God, { Romans 3:23 }." [ But despite your sin, God loves you and wants to save you from sin, and to offer you a new life of hope ].

=========================

84. Scriptures: ". . . I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly, { John 10:10 }." [ To give you a gift of salvation the Lord made a way through a Saviour Jesus Christ ].

=========================

85. Scripture: "But God commands His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us, { Romans 5:8 }."

=========================

86. Commentary . . . "You receive this gift not by trying to be good enough to get to Heaven, but by just believing in Jesus Christ and trusting His Word. Are you and your loved ones ready if death overtakes you? God is ready. Christ has prepared a home for you in Heaven. He wants you there. I believe that you want to go there. The Word of the Lord states . . .

=========================

87. Scripture: "He, that [ is ] being often reproved [ and ] hardens his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy, { Proverbs 29:1 }." [ If you will not listen and believe before the Resurrection of the Body of Christ, look what the Lord says about you ] . . .

=========================

88. { V. 10 } Scripture: "And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

89. { V. 11 }: And for this cause God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.

90. { V. 12 }: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness, { 2- Thessalonians 2:10-12 }."

91. The above 3 verses paraphrased . . . { V. 10 }: "And by unlimited seduction to evil and with all wicked deception for those who are going to perdition perishing because they did not welcome the truth but refused to love the truth of God's Word that they might be saved.

94. { V. 6 } Scripture: "Now we command you brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother that walks disorderly, and not after the tradition [ true doctrine ] which he received of us.

95. { V. 7 }: For yourselves know how you ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you, { 2- Thessalonians 3:6-7 }."

96. { Vs. 6-7 } above paraphrased . . . For you yourselves know how it is necessary to imitate our example, for we were not disorderly or shirking our duty when we were with you: we were not idle."

97. In order to be positive of your own Salvation, we would ask you to "Please" read and pray the following prayer and if you really believe and accept in your heart [ mind ] what you have read and have spoken these words in this prayer with a contrite mind to God the Father, you will have become a Child of God!

The Sinners Prayer . . .

98. Heavenly Father, I know that I'm a lost sinner and that I cannot save myself by good works. I believe that Jesus Christ is God the Son Who came down from Heaven and took on a human body of flesh and was born of the Virgin Mary. I believe that Jesus shed His blood on the Cross of Calvary and died paying the price for my sins with His death so that I can receive salvation because of and through His sacrifice. I believe that after Christ's sacrifice and death, He arose from the tomb after three literal days and nights. And, that this same Jesus ascended into the third Heaven to set at the right hand of God the Father.

I believe that Jesus will return for all Saints who belong to the Body of Christ in the Resurrection [ Rapture ] according to His own promise! I know that I have been up to this time a lost sinner and deserved to go to hell. So I beseech you Heavenly Father, send your Holy Spirit at this very moment into my Heart and save my soul, for Jesus Christ sake as has been promised me by Your Holy Word. I am receiving Jesus Christ at this very moment as my personal Saviour, my Lord, and as my only blessed hope for salvation. Thank You Lord, for now I am saved by Your wonderful grace. Amen! [ So let it be ]!

99. { V. 16 } Scripture: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

100. { V. 17 }: For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved, { John 3:16-17 }."

=========================

101. { V. 8 } Scripture: "For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God . . .

102. { V. 9 }: Not of works, lest any man should boast, { Ephesians 2:8-9 }."

=========================

103. { V. 9 }: Scripture: "But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love Him,

104. { V. 10 }: But God has revealed them to us by His [ Holy ] Spirit, for the Spirit searches all things, yes the deep things of God, { 1- Corinthians 2:9-10 }."
